* Dozens – Bet on twelve numbers at once. Your options are 1st 12 (1-12), 2nd 12 (13-24) and 3rd 12 (25-36).

* Columns – Bet on a column on the roulette board.

* Hi/Lo – Bet on eighteen numbers at once. Your options are 1st 18 (1-18) or 2nd 18 (19-36)

* Even/ Odd – Bet on whether the number will be even or odd.

* Red/Black – Bet on whether the number will be red or black.

When you bet on a single numbers and it hits you receive 35:1 on your bet which is a pretty big payout. The chances of hitting your numbers aren’t that good, but if you spread out your numbers enough you might have a shot. The bottom bets I listed above such as hi/lo, even/odd and red/black all pay even money, but the chances of winning are almost 50%. A lot of people that bet on roulette will bet on either the inside bets or the outside bets.

All you need to know when you go to the casino and visit the roulette table looking to bet is that you need to make sure the dealer gives you coloured chips that you can use. Then you simply place your bets on the table with the other players at the table and then the dealer spins the wheel.
